Ian Wright & Stan Collymore have somewhat fallen out
Former player – and current pundit – Stan Collymore has called Ian Wright a cunt on twitter after a spat between the two escalated.

The argument started when Collymore criticised Wright and others in an interview with the Guardian.

“To be a black pundit you either need to be a comedian like Chris Kamara or Ian Wright – guys who have big pearly-white smiles and everyone loves laughing at – or Jermaine Jenas and Alex Scott, who are completely inoffensive,” Collymore said.

Wright responded by tweeting Collymore, cc-ing in the other targets of Collymore’s words

Then Collymore replied:

Black man who works for The overtly racist Sun and uses "chip on your shoulder" without any irony.

You know what you are Ian, and always have been, which is why only you are employed by every British broadcaster.

The epitome of a Tom.

Cunt.

Not unusual for two black men to have a falling out.

Re: Ian Wright & Stan Collymore have somewhat fallen out
Isn't there a video going around somewhere of him going at it with what I can only describe as something rhyming with diner and not someone who works in the coal industry, nor a Morris.

..allegedly..

The Guardian seem to have an immense amount of respect for him. As do many of their readers.

Collymore. Hits women in public. Shows what kind of guy he is.

Re: Ian Wright & Stan Collymore have somewhat fallen out
Such a shame that Collymore looks at another black man doing well in a generally white industry and see's it as him being an Uncle Tom.

Just shows you what a chip on his shoulder he has. When he feels that another black man should be rebelling instead of getting on.

He's just a vile embarrassing cunt.

I recall when Collymore used to score for Forest, turn round to celebrate with his team mates, only to find that they'd all just jogged back up field..

Most people who have played with Collymore think he's an utter cunt.

Tells you all you need to know.

Pretty sure these 2 have never got on, goes back to their Crystal Palace days.

Palace had the Wright and Bright partnership up front and Collymore couldn't get a look in and had to move on.

Had a chip on his shoulder about it ever since.

No it's a reference to the book Uncle Tom's Cabin where Uncle Tom was a highly subservient black man. Quite insulting to a black bloke that.

Remember “Ian Wright’s got a big fat wifeâ€

Got a lot of time for the bloke. As mentioned earlier in the thread, the clip of him being reunited with his old school teacher is as touching as it gets.

Re: Ian Wright & Stan Collymore have somewhat fallen out
In 94/95, my first year as a season ticket holder, I remember vividly singing when we played Arsenal

"Where's your sister, where's your sister, where's your sister, Ian Wright?
You killed her, you killed her, you killed her, Ian Wright".

Never knew what that was about!

Collymore has become very anti British in recent times.

He has suddenly declared himself a big Celtic supporter and often comments on the bigotry of Rangers on his twitter which to no surprise gets him involved in some heated debates with fans.
